5 of 5 BCG - Mil Spec Staked and Reliability October 24, 2018

I was worried about the “mil-spec” stake. I talked with a few buddies of mine and a local gunsmith and they all stated that’s about normal as long as you routinely inspect it. I’ve put about 1,000 rounds or more through the BCG and I’ve never had a malfunction with it. I’ve took it apart once and gave it a good thorough cleaning. It still seems to be solid and it’s holding up to steel cases ammo pretty well. Every few hundred rounds it’ll jam but I think that’s just the gunpowder/carbon buildup in the chamber from running steel casing ammo. Overall this is a strong reliable BCG. I know I’ll upgrade to a nickel boron BCG in the future but this has been my experience with this BCG.

I got teh BCG and was worried about the staking of the gas key.  Talked to someone on the internet and they said the composition of the BCG was poor and not to use it.  I talked to my Gunsmith and he said it was a typical Mil spec design and I should shoot it often.  It is for my 300 Blackout build and I was having issues, but it could be the barrel and old 5.56 Milsurp mags.  Looks to be a great value BCG

I ordered this BCA after I was having fte and cycling issues with a new rifle build so I ordered a BAD FROM CeraTac.
I oiled the new BCA and installed it then went to the range. The rifle never had a single problem in over 200 rounds with the CeraTac bolt.
I fired brass and steel case .223 62gr fmj, M193, M855, and my hog load .223 72gr gold dots.
